Our 100% online, self-paced high school visual arts curriculum is designed for motivated students seeking a rigorous, studio-based education that emphasizes technical mastery, creative inquiry, and portfolio development. These 18-week asynchronous courses can be completed in any order however, having an introductory or foundations class prior to these courses would be beneficial. Students will progressively refine advanced drawing, painting, ceramics, color theory, mixed media, and conceptual art practices.
Students explore a variety of materials and coursework while developing their own artistic identity. Ideal for homeschool families, scholarship students, and learners seeking a flexible online high school art curriculum, these courses prepare students for advanced visual arts coursework.
This is an 18-week guided studio course. Topics covered include: perspective, ink techniques, landscape, value form light & shadow, still life, portraiture studies. Art materials lists are available through Blick Art Materials. This course is structured as an independent learning experience and is heavily studio based (hands on work).
